Design and fab­ri­ca­tion of an atomic/​molecular scale device with atomic scale pre­ci­sion and reproducibility:


We will fab­ri­cate, on pas­si­vated semi-​conducting or insu­lat­ing sur­faces:
–Nanopads (a few tens of nm to mm),
–addressed from the macro-​scale in par­tic­u­lar by 4-​probe SFM/​STM tips.
–con­nected to con­duct­ing nanowires made by atom manip­u­la­tion (and pos­si­bly dop­ing), or small gap mol­e­c­u­lar wires:
an atomic device, made by atom manip­u­la­tion,
or a mol­e­c­u­lar device, syn­the­sized directly on the sur­face by cova­lent cou­pling of smaller precursors
